From fine art to pop… all is welcome here.
What is a Uni Watcher?
To quote Mr. Lucas a Uni Watcher is
One who dedicates themselves to the finer points of sports uniforms in obsessive and excruciating detail. It’s not about fashion — it’s about documenting and maintaining the visual history of sports design, and about minutiae fetishism as its own reward.
A Uni Watch can be many things not the least of which is a literal Uni Watch… you know of the tick, tick, tick variety. So with tongue firmly in cheek we present the Uni Watch analog(ish) digital version.
Shameless Plug: Mr. Lucas reminds me that he has a real world version of this watch face available for sale here.
An avatar for the aforementioned Mary Bajikar, freelance journalista.
The long march to October begins and this bit of work portrays all the MLB teams using the Uni Watch name.
Menu cover for the Iron Tortilla Restaurant.
Authentic Healthy (no really) Mexican Fare.
This is artwork for a good friend who is getting her Beatles on. A lifetime fan of the late great George Harrison, I thought she would find this tribute to the bands original cartoon show with her dancing along would be a keeper, now updated and completed. Thanks for your patience.
Here is a t-shirt concept for the Uni-Watch blog site. A website that obsesses itself with the the obsession of things uniform. Sportswise that is. Pointing out uniform oddities, rarities and downright uglies from the wide, weird world of sports merchandise. We are living in a golden age of sports, literally, and the clothes & kitch they shill spill over to literally the entire real world. Ask any kid from Bolivia who sports a Carolina Panthers super bowl 50 championship shirt.
This artwork features a character that bears a striking resemblance, although a much hipper one I might add, of the “Minute Man”, the Union 76 Oil Companies “Madmen Age of Advertising” character. He is dapper in wearing his baseball gear with the appropriate amount of stirrup showing. Trust me, the peeps in the Uni-verse would notice.
A logo is not a BRAND, but is the cherry on top suggesting good things come from this group.
