This is artwork for a good friend who is getting her Beatles on.  A lifetime fan of the late great George Harrison, I thought she would find this tribute to the bands original cartoon show with her dancing along would be a keeper, now updated and completed.  Thanks for your patience.

Uni-Watch Man

Here is a t-shirt concept for the Uni-Watch blog site.  A website that obsesses itself with the the obsession of things uniform. Sportswise that is.  Pointing out uniform oddities, rarities and downright uglies from the wide, weird world of sports merchandise.   We are living in a golden age of sports, literally, and the clothes & kitch they shill spill over to literally the entire real world. Ask any kid from Bolivia who sports a Carolina Panthers super bowl 50 championship shirt.

This artwork features a character that bears a striking resemblance, although a much hipper one I might add, of the “Minute Man”,  the Union 76 Oil Companies “Madmen Age of Advertising” character.  He is dapper in wearing his baseball gear with the appropriate amount of stirrup showing. Trust me, the peeps in the Uni-verse would notice.

Combine typography with machines, add a dash of chrome to achieve a stunning iconic style.

A visual feast of letter designs in chrome – that is what the folks at Chromeography are all about. Custom lettering adorning the sides of vintage vehicles and other machines is an art unto itself. (more…)

Cowboy BeBop (1998)

This Seminal Anime story spins around Spike Spiegel,

a bounty Hunter with a dark past, lives on bounty to bounty, barely making it each time, or not making it at all. His partners Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Ed and Ein the dog all help him in his adventures from planet to planet. The title sequence’s jazzy riffs fused with new edge art direction and camera movement gives the series a hip, expressive, individualistic soul.

Considered to be a masterpiece of the anime genre, the series became a commercial success both in Japanese and international markets, most notably in the United States.
